Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
Moore Inspection & Testing, LLC specializes in phased array ultrasonic (PAUT) testing. PAUT provides multiple advantages over standard ultrasonic testing methods: faster, more comprehensive, efficient, streamlines inspections, and improves testing reliability of measurements and defect sizing. PAUT is used for inspection testing of any type of material where traditional ultrasonic (UT) methods are currently utilized.
Phased array ultrasonic testing uses complex geometries to detect failures such as cracks and flaws, and inspections of welds, thickness measurements, corrosion inspections, and flaw detection. PAUT improves the reliability of measurements and sizing defects during inspections and is considered the best nondestructive testing method for weld inspections and detecting welding flaws.
